OUR STORY
Lions Futsal Club prides itself on being dedicated to quality futsal training. With Head Coach Kris Antonic at the helm, the Club is never short on knowledge or experience and continues to be one of WA's top performing Clubs in futsal development for all ages and abilities.
Lions Futsal Club was established in 2013, beginning as a small club with just one junior team and a predominantly senior mens and Womens playing group.
Under Head Coach Kris Antonic, the club has continued to evolve around her passion for player development and creating a strong, community-based futsal club.
Today, Lions has grown to include multiple teams across all age groups from as young as 5 years old through to Youth, Open Men, Women and now Masters.
At the heart of Lions is a simple philosophy: give every player an opportunity to learn, grow, play futsal and find a place where they belong.
Whether a player is stepping onto a futsal court for the first time or working towards an elite national or international pathway, we want Lions to provide an environment where they can develop, be challenged and enjoy the game.
We don't just focus on winning junior games. Our goal is to develop players for the long term, giving them the opportunity to progress through the club from juniors into Youth and Senior futsal.
We pride ourselves on being a family and community-based club, where development, opportunity, loyalty, inclusion and enjoyment remain at the centre of what we do.
Our Journey & Achievements
Over the years, Lions has continued to grow both on and off the court, competing locally, nationally and internationally.
Some of our major achievements include:
🏆 2025 FAF National Champions – U10 & U14 🇦🇺
🏆 2024 Supa Liga Champions – U20
🏆 2023 FIFUSA U14 Champions – Argentina 🇦🇷
While trophies are something we're proud of, one of our greatest measures of success is seeing players develop and progress into higher levels of the game.
Notable player pathway successes from Lions include:
Pavarveen Waran – FC Vizela, Portuguese 2nd Division football
Dhanial Brown – Emerging Socceroos pathway
Issa Toure, Dylan Winardi & Ming Chong – Perth Glory junior pathways
Several Lions boys and girls have also progressed into WA State football and futsal selections
Sineth Kalutotage - u19s National Team Futsal World Cup
Vinnie Janes and Claudio Delgado - Italian Futsal contracts
Coach Kris Antonic - International World Cup Head Coach
Our aim is to continue providing opportunities that allow players to progress from community futsal into state, national and international environments.

Women’s & Girls’ Futsal in Perth
Women's futsal has been part of the Lions story since the club's early years.
Coach Kris was part of the original Lions women's team in 2013, which developed into one of WA's elite women's futsal teams. Kris also went on to represent Australia at several international futsal championships.
Building on that history, Lions is now placing a renewed focus on female development through a dedicated Women's and Girls' Program.
We have a strong vision to grow female participation and provide girls and women with the same opportunities to develop, compete and progress through futsal pathways.
Our Values
At Lions Futsal Club, we believe futsal is about more than the game. We are a club built on development, opportunity, family and community.
Creating a welcoming environment where every player can belong, enjoy the sport and grow with confidence. We value inclusion, loyalty and sportsmanship, and aim to make every player, family member, coach and supporter feel respected, connected and proud to be part of Lions.
Inclusive sport helps create a genuine sense of belonging and stronger community connection, which is central to the culture we want to build.
Whether someone is picking up futsal for the first time or striving to compete at the highest level, Lions is committed to providing meaningful opportunities and clear pathways. We support beginners as they learn the fundamentals, help developing players build their skills and confidence, and encourage ambitious athletes pursuing state, national and international opportunities.
Through positive coaching, fair play, teamwork and a shared love of futsal, we want every Lion to enjoy the journey and realise their potential, both on and off the court.
